BMA Coal 3D Stockpile Monitoring & Visualisation
BMA is looking to improve its understanding of its coal stockpiles on site including better ways to monitor and visualize its stockpile over time. The challenge will look at how to track and monitor coal location within the stockpile including coal age profile, grade, and location data.
Currently the overall volumetric data of the stockpiles are available but the properties inside the stockpile at individual locations are not easily tracked. Knowing coal properties throughout the stockpile allow to better manage coal aging and coal blending. Understanding and managing these properties allow for better product blending and better reaction to coal grade degradation.
