Correlate and Visualize Coal Deposits Automatically
Currently a majority of geologists use a combination of downhole geophysical logs and laboratory analysis data to visually and manually characterise coal seams. This is labour intensive (can take months), often subjective, and prone to error. In addition not all data signals gathered are utilized in the analysis and new data inputs from tools such as acoustic scanner are not used or underutilized.
The challenge is how to use older data, current data, and acoustic scanner streams of data to auto-ID and correlate coal seams between wells. Then using all available data see which features best predicts the coal seams correlations across wells. Finally can the resulting analysis enable field data to be streamed, visualized, processed, and correlated in real time?
