Ben Travaglione is a physicist working for the Defence Science and Technology Group with a passion for underwater acoustics, signal processing, smart sensors, microcontrollers, open-source software and the internet-of-things. He has cross collaborations with the System Health Lab at The University of Western Australia. Ben completed his PhD at The University of Queensland in 2002. From 2002-2004 he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Quantum Information Science at Cambridge University.
