Mapping Gawler Craton using combined satellite remote sensing and radiometric data for uncovering REEs deposit
Please find the video presentation here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnFDqySXShg&feature=youtu.be A method based on satellite remote sensing technique was developed to locate Rare Earth Element (REE)-bearing soils. The method was first developed using airborne hyperspectral data to identify REE-rich areas in the Mount Pass REE mine, US, which was reproduced and validated using satellite imagery. The method was successfully applied to the Bayan Obo REE mine, China, which was able to locate REEs.
