Andrew Dasys is the founder and president of Objectivity.ca, a decision support consultancy that produces and markets DRX a resource drilling optimiser. Using AI techniques, DRX focuses on decreasing the time required to bring a mineral resource property into production.
Andrew is a mining engineer who has spent over 28 years developing and implementing new technologies in the mineral resource industry. Starting his career at the Noranda Technology Center in Montreal, he was responsible for the development of forerunner technologies such as underground communication infrastructures for mobile vehicle control, electric/plasma blasting and fully autonomous production vehicles.
He subsequently led the engineering for one of the first and largest underground mining communication providers, where he had the opportunity to commission communication and RFID tagging systems on three continents.
Prior to founding Objectivity, Andews was Vice President at MIRARCO Innovation leading the development of software to optimise mine designs and introducing the use of Virtual Reality for complex “post-3D” data analysis in mining
