About

UFRs mission is to bring to market effective outdoor robots that will deliver safer work, a step change in costs,
excellent results and maximum value for customers driving growth for UFR.

An improving world means that it is no longer acceptable for humans to work in dangerous and dirty enviroments and less likely to find people to perform less satisfying dreary jobs. Factories are being automated with robots but the outdoors is a new frontier.

Our product is a capable “universal” outdoor robot which has broad functionality. The robot design uses a mass produced construction machine as a base and applies a package of sensors and software to build an autonomous platform that achieves an attractive price point.

Attachments and software applications are added to complete specific tasks such as performing in unsafe areas in an underground mine.

As Managing Director of both Intech Engineers and Universal Field Robots, Jeff brings a demonstrated history for delivering value gained from over 37 years’ mining and metals industry experience.

Robotics Engineer

During his university course, Tim tested his innovation genes by buying and selling 60 used cars. He designed a bio mathematical solution that won a competition and received a NASA prize.

Rhys has developed robotic vision machine learning to control an arm to pick up objects.

Robotics Engineer

Josh is training our Robots to drive nicely outside. Josh has developed a previous outdoor robot that was able to drive and complete garden tasks using vision to navigate.
