Michael is the Founder and CEO of Minetell, a digital risk management platform that provides real insight in real-time on risk exposure and critical control effectiveness. Michael has 17 years of international experience in enterprise risk, health, safety & environment (HSE) and major project design in the extractive industries. Michael was the Enterprise Risk Manager with Barrick Gold based in Toronto supporting global operations, projects and exploration. From 2009-2011 he was based in Kazakhstan, working for a consortium including Agip KCO, Shell, Exxon and Chevron, and responsible for offshore risk management for all Health, Safety and Environment hazards with the Kashagan project in the North Caspian Sea. Prior to this role Michael held multiple roles with Royal Dutch Shell as a Project Engineer for Shell Europe, (Aberdeen UK), supporting $1b worth of projects and as a Human Factors Engineer (The Hague NL) supporting global projects and business units.
