Highlights of the release:
- Newcrest Mining will provide four resource industry challenges at the Unearthed Melbourne hackathon event.
- The hackathon, supported by the Victorian Government, will provide opportunities for local entrepreneurs, innovators and startups to enter the mining industry.
- Global coding skills school General Assembly will host the Unearthed Melbourne hackathon.
- Participants include university students from Monash University, RMIT, the University of Melbourne and Swinburne University.
- Monash University will sponsor the Young Innovator Award.
- Microsoft will provide Azure cloud services for all teams at the event.
